View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FAIRHAVEN – Mary Sophie (Winderlick) Teixeira, 88, of Alden Road, Fairhaven, formerly of Carlton Avenue, died on Sunday, August 26, 2007, at the Alden Court Nursing Care Center. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late George and Mary (Couto) Winderlick, she was the wife of the late Theophilo Teixeira.
Mrs. Teixeira worked for the Fairhaven School system during the 1960’s in the cafeteria. She then went on to work for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Employment Agency.
She leaves four sons, Bob, Albert, David and Mark Teixeira; one brother, George Winderlick, and one sister, Evelyn Sylvia, both of Dartmouth; ten grandchildren, and nine great-grand children. Mrs. Teixeira was the sister of the late Manny Winderlick.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at 9:00AM in Saint Joseph’s Church, Addams Street, Fairhaven. Burial will be private.
