Lynda Jean (Wyatt) Severino

TAUNTON – Lynda Jean (Wyatt) Severino, 49, died suddenly Saturday, January 24, 2009, due to long term health complications. Born in Taunton, the daughter of Robert and Janet (Silva) Wyatt, she was the wife of Brian Severino.

Mrs. Severino attended the Taunton Public Schools and was a graduate of the Bristol-Plymouth School of Nursing, where she received her LPN license. She worked in various nursing homes, caring for the sick and the elderly. Later she work as an Instructor of the Red Cross in Fall River, where she changed the ethical understandings of nursing students, teaching them to realize their need to have compassion and empathy for their patients.

Mrs. Severino was forced into early retirement due to failing health. She enjoyed reading, watching scary movies with her family, and spending time on Cape Cod. She was a woman that was always willing to help those in need. In addition to her parents and her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Megan Severino; her son, Bryan Severino; and her adoring granddaughter, Sophia Severino, all of Taunton. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Nicholas of Myra Church, North Dighton, Friday, January 30, 2009, at 10:00AM. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, January 29, from 4:00-8:00PM in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton.
