View Tribute and Sign Guestbook ASSONET – Kaylee A. Therrien, 23, of High Street, Assonet, died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. She was born in Woonsocket, RI, a daughter of Richard Therrien of Woonsocket, RI, and Beverly (Mayer) Therrien of Assonet, MA. She was also the step-daughter of Bill Clark of Assonet, and Shelly Heldonbergh of Woonsocket, RI.
Kaylee, a 2005 graduate of Apponequet Regional High School in Lakeville, was a retail manager for the Journey shoe and clothing store in the Wrentham Village outlets. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Johnson & Wales University in May, 2009. She has lived in Assonet since 2000, coming originally from Woonsocket. While in high school she was a head cheerleader, and won DECA scholarships. She also enjoyed music and concerts. She was previously employed at Hooter’s Restaurant in Warwick, where she worked as a function coordinator.
Kaylee was an avid New England sports fan, especially liking the Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox, and the New England Patriots, and she also knew many of the players personally. She was known to be the life of the party, a very bubbly person, extremely intelligent, and really loved her family and friends, and was very loved by them as well.
Besides her parents and step-parents, she is survived by her maternal grandparents, Donald & Terry (Picard) Mayer of Cumberland, RI; paternal grandparents, Wilfrid & Anita (Bilodeau) Therrien of Woonsocket, RI; a brother, Casey Therrien of Assonet; her fiancé, Brad Lord of Freetown, MA; and four step-sisters, Kimberly Desrosiers of Assonet, Kristin Texeira of Somerset, Kerri Belleville of Gulf Port, Louisiana, and Rachael Clark of Assonet. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 12:00 noon from THE HATHAWAY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00pm in St. Bernard’s Church, 32 South Main St., Assonet, MA, with burial to follow in the Assonet Burial Ground. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 9:00am – 12:00noon in the funeral home.
