Stephen J Taylor, 56 years old died in the VA Medical Center, West Roxbury on Sunday April 9, 2006. Born in Wareham son of Louise (Amaral) Taylor of Taunton and the late Lyman Taylor. He was educated in Immaculate Conception Grammar School and was a graduate of Taunton High School. He was employed as a carpenter for LET Construction Co in Taunton and for various contractors as a carpenter in the Taunton Area. He was a active member of AA and was credited with helping many friends through the AA program. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Red Sox and the Patriots. He was highly decorated US Army veteran of the Viet Nam War. He received the National Defense Service Medal; Parachutist Badge; Viet Nam Service medal w/3 Bronze Stars; Combat Infantryman Badge, 2 Purple Hearts; Bronze Star w/V Device and the Army Commendation Medal. Besides his mother he is survived by 2 sons, Jamie Taylor of Mashpee and Rodney Taylor of Lexington, a sister Jane McGuire of Taunton, Thomas Taylor of Hendersonville, NC and Paul Taylor of New Portland,ME and 3 nephews. Funeral InformationA Mass of Christian Burial will he held in Immaculate Conception Church, Taunton on Wednesday at 10AM. Interment Center Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 from 4-8PM. Donations Information
