Robert A. Gazaille

View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Robert A. Gazaille, 58, of Friendly, West Virginia, died Monday, November 21, 2005 in the Sistersville General Hospital in Sistersville, West Virginia. He was the husband of Linda M. (Beaulieu) Gazaille. Born on June 23, 1947, in Woonsocket, he was a son of Theresa (Boisseau) Gazaille of Bellingham and the late Raymond R. Gazaille. He was raised in Woonsocket and resided in Woonsocket for most of his life.
Mr. Gazaille was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served two-and-a-half tours of duty in Vietnam. He received the Purple Heart and the Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He was very proud to be a United States Marine.
He worked for Janell and Sons in Woonsocket for many years, and later worked for C & C Plastics for several years. He also worked for Ingalls Shipbuilders in Pascagoula, Mississippi, while living there for several years. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Pascoag.
In addition to his wife, and mother, he is survived by two sons, Jason R. Gazaille of San Diego, CA, and Raymond P. Gazaille, currently stationed in Iraq, a step-son, Edward W. Almstrom, of Parris Island, South Carolina, a daughter, Tracey Anne Tierney, of Cheshire, MA., a step-daughter, Melissa M. Neese, of Escawtapa, Mississippi, two brothers, Arthur Gazaille, of Woonsocket, and Roland Gazaille, of North Smithfield, 5 sisters, Jeanne Poole, of Arizona, Claire Limoges, of Woonsocket, Connie Landry, Susan Marcotte, and Helen St. Laurent, all of Blackstone. He was the brother of the late Rita Gazaille. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
His funeral will be Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 8:00 am from THE MENARD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in All Saints Church, 323 Rathburn St., Woonsocket. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Calling hours are Friday, November 25, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
