BERKLEY – Sylvia Louise (Silva) Flint, 82, died Thursday October 9, 2008, at the home of her son, following a year long illness. Born in Taunton, the daughter of the late George and Ruth( Doyle) Silva, she was the wife of the late Ernest Flint. Educated in the Taunton Public Schools, and a member of the Winthrop Street Baptist Church, Mrs. Flint was a resident of Berkley for over sixty years. She worked as an administrative assistant at the VA Medical Center in Brockton for over fourteen years. She enjoyed dancing, horses, country music, gardening, bird watching. Mrs. Flint was the mother of Cheryl Harper-Plogger of Berkley, Sylvia “Terrry” Silvia of Taunton, Raymond “Jimmy” Flint of Berkley, Gene “Curly” Flint of Berkley, Daniel Flint of Dighton, and the late Bonnie Adler. She was the sister of Ruth Dennen of Taunton, George Silva of Taunton and Charles Silva of Somerville, MA. She was the grandmother of eleven, the great-grandmother of fourteen, and the great-great-grandmother of one. Funeral InformationA funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), in Taunton, Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Fox Cemetery, Berkley. Visiting hours will be held Monday, October 13 (Columbus Day) from 4:00-8:00PM in the funeral home.
