Annette B. (Gingras) Varieur

WOONSOCKET – Annette B. Varieur age 92 formerly of Pond St., Woonsocket, died Monday, February 18, 2008, in the Bay Berry Commons Nursing Home in Pascoag. Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Arsene and Sylvina (Riquier) Gingras, she was the wife of the late Sylvio Varieur.

A lifelong resident of Woonsocket and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Woonsocket, she was a homemaker and a twister at various textile mills in the Woonsocket area, including the former Masurel Worsted Company of Woonsocket, for many years before retiring in 1960. She had been a member of the Park View Residents Club.

Mrs. Varier leaves one grandson, Donald N. and his wife Lisa C. Varieur of Pascoag; three great-grandchildren, Nicolas, Daniel and Joslyn Varieur of Pascoag; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Donald J. Varieur and the sister of the late Donat Gingras, Dorilda Grenon, Anita Bibeault, Leona Charpentier and Lydia Hogue.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held Friday, February 22, 2008, at 9:30AM from THE MENARD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 1200 Mendon Road, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the Family Lot in Precious Blood Cemetery, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, and may visit with the family from 9:30 to 10:00AM before the Mass.
