Clara M. (Woolley) LaFrance

NEW BEDFORD – Clara M. (Woolley) LaFrance, 85, of Valerie Street, died Friday, August 8, 2008, at Saint Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Burgoyne and Florida (Poirier) Woolley, Jr., she was the wife of the late Gerald Rene LaFrance.

Mrs. LaFrance, who attended the Campbell Business School in New Bedford, had been a co-owner of Allied Brake and Auto. She had also worked as a legal secretary for area attorneys. She was also a member of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

She leaves one daughter, Beverly A. Brown of Titusville, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held Friday, August 15, 2008, at 10:30AM in THE DONAGHY FUNERAL HOME, 465 County Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery #2, Mount Pleasant Street, New Bedford. Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 14, from 6:00-8:00PM in the funeral home.
