Jeanne Paul

December 13, 1933 - March 28, 2006

Jeanne (Lacroix) Paul, 72, of Follett Street, North Smithfield , died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at home. She was the wife of Fernand Paul. She was born Dec 13, 1933 in St. Pamphile, Quebec, Canada, a daughter of the late Ludger & Imelda ( Bolduc) Lacroix.

While she was living in Canada she was a math teacher in Ste. Felicite, Quebec, Canada. When she came to Woonsocket she worked at the Royal Electric as a solderer for over 20 years, and also worked for the TOCTA - Transportation Outreach Program. She has lived in North Smithfield for 40 years coming from Woonsocket. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, she was a volunteer for the handicapped and elderly providing rides to appointments. She enjoyed all sports particularly golf and hockey , she even played hockey in her youth while in Canada. She enjoyed gardening, and was a member of the Better Breathing Group, a Lung Patient support group.

Besides her husband she is survived by 2 brothers Luc Lacroix of Deltona, Florida, Raymond Lacroix of Sorel, Quebec, Canada, 5 sisters Germaine Robichaud of Deltona, Florida, Cecile Doyon of Deltona, Florida, Marthe Bourgault of Sorel, Quebec, Canada, Jeannine Grannis of Sorel, Quebec, Canada, Denise Gagnon of Manville, RI, 28 nieces and nephews, 30 great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lucien Lacroix, Ludger Lacroix Jr, Rita Chouinard, and Therese Lacroix.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 8:30am from the THE MENARD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church , Park Avenue, Woonsocket, burial will follow in St Jean the Baptiste Cemetery Bellingham MA. Calling hours Friday, March 31, 2006 from 4 - 8 pm.
