TAUNTON – Madeline L. (Parker) Ritchie, 82, died in Marian Manor in Taunton on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, following a lengthy illness. Born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Milton and Louise (Morin) Parker, she was educated in the Taunton Public Schools and was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Taunton. Mrs. Ritchie was a well know waitress working at Benjamin’s, Independence Harbor, and as young teenager, at the former Sanky’s Milk Bottle. She enjoyed taking crusises and sewing and being with her family. She was the widow of Francis A. Ritchie and is mother of Madelyn L’ Heureux and her husband Armand of Taunton, Marlene Carroll and her husband Robert of Grafton, Thomas Ritchie and his wife Deb of Taunton, Francis Ritchie and his wife Vicky of Taunton, and James Ritchie and his wife Nancy of Taunton; the grandmother of Kevin, Kate, Megan, Thomas, Jennifer Ritchie, Melissa Murphy, Abaigeal Carroll, Heather L’Heureux, Amanda Briggs and Emily Youngquist; and the great-grandmother of Brylee Briggs. She was the sister of Jane Heanault Leon and Richard Parker, all of Taunton, and the late Marion Harwood. Funeral InformationHer funeral service will be held in the CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, on Monday, April 23, 2007, at 10:30AM. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home from 9:00 to 10:30AM, prior to the Service. Interment will follow the service in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Taunton.
