FALL RIVER – Raymond J. Pelletier, 81, of Milliken Blvd., Fall River, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at the Sarah Brayton Nursing Home in Fall River. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was the husband of Doris (Banville) Pelletier. Mr. Pelletier worked as a dye foreman for more than twenty-nine years at the Arkwright Finishing Company before retiring in 1990. He was a member of Sakonnet Sportsmen’s Club, the New Bedford Rod & Gun Club, the National Rifle Association, and also belonged to the High Hill Fox & Coon Club. He enjoyed fishing. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Irene Onate of Fall River; two brothers, Irenee Pelletier and Leo Pelletier; and a sister, Helen Szczepkowski of Assonet. He was the grandfather of Meredith Putvin, William Magill, and Scott Onate; and the great-grandfather of Holly Ann Putvin, Ivyrose Magill, and Arwinn Magill. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Paul Pelletier. Funeral InformationServices have been held.
