Iria Andrade

October 14, 1927 - February 23, 2007

SWANSEA – Iria "Edith" (Feijo) Andrade, 79, of 503 Stevens Road, Swansea, died Friday, February 23, 2007, at the Catholic Memorial Home, surrounded by her loving family. Born October 14, 1927, in Fall River, the daughter of the late John and Helen (Alves) Feijo, she was the wife of the late Anthony Andrade.

Mrs. Andrade was employed by the Louis Hand Company for many years, and also worked for Raytheon in Portsmouth, R.I. Mrs. Andrade was the matriarch of the Old Swanzey Orchard and Greenhouses.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara L. Catabia of Dighton; two sons, Anthony R. Andrade Jr., of Somerset, and David J. Andrade of Fall River; three brothers, Syl Feijo of Fall River, Ferdinand Feijo of New Bedford, and Edward Feijo of Swansea; four grandchildren and two great-grand children.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held Monday, February 26, 2007, at 7:45AM in the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., SOMERSET, to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM in Saint John of God Church, 996 Brayton Ave., Somerset. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea. Calling Hours and Video Tribute will be held Sunday from 4:00-7:00PM in the funeral home.
