Hortense M. Ziobro

View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Hortense M ( Miranda) Ziobro, 89 of Hot & Cold Lane Somerset died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Zygmunt Stanley “ Ziggy” Ziobro. She was born April 27 1916 in Fall River a daughter of the late Joseph & Mary ( Mello) Miranda.
Mrs. Ziobro was a Sales Clerk for the former Weintraub's Fabric Store in Somerset for over 20 years before retiring in 1975. She was a graduate the BMC Durfee High School class of 1934. She has been a Somerset resident for over 50 years coming from Fall River , she was a parishioner of St John of God Church, and was a member of the Pine Valley Country Club , was an avid Golfer, enjoyed Knitting, and sewing.
She is survived by a son Joseph A. Ziobro of Cumberland, RI, 4 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Michael E. Ziobro, and sister of the late Manuel, Joseph, Anthony Miranda, Sarah Mello, Alice Rapoza, Hilda Freitas, Angela Cabral.
Funeral Information
Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 7:30am from the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, MA, with a mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in St John of God Church, Brayton Avenue Somerset, burial will follow in St Patrick Cemetery Somerset. Calling hours are Thursday from 7:30am - 8: 30 am.
