Phyllis Helen (Gondela) Felag

SOMERSET – Phyllis Helen (Gondela) Felag, 92, of Buxton Avenue, Somerset, died Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Born in Fall River, MA, the daughter of the late William and Tekla (Bieskowski) Gondela, she was the wife of the late John Felag.

Mrs. Felag worked as a floor lady for area dress manufacturing companies in the Fall River and Somerset area. She was a member of Saint Thomas More Church in Somerset and the Somerset Council on Aging.

She leaves one sister, Eugenia “Jennie” Madore and her husband Raymond of Edison, New Jersey; and four nieces and four nephews. Mrs. Felag was the sister of the late Walter, Mitchell, Felix “Buddy” Gondela and Stacia Laporte.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held Thursday, February 28, 2008, at 9:00AM from THE HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Saint Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Avenue, Somerset. Burial will follow the funeral Mass in Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Road, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 3:00-6:00PM in the funeral home.
