Howard R. Reeves

FAIRHAVEN – Howard R. Reeves, 91, of Fairhaven, died Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at Our Lady’s Haven in Fairhaven after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Agnes M. (Pflug) Reeves. Born in Worcester, MA, the son of the late Gordon and the late Kate (West) Reeves, he lived most of his life in Fairhaven and was a 1935 graduate of Fairhaven High School.

Mr. Reeves served in the U. S. Army during WWII in the 759th Light Armored Tank Battalion. Upon his return from the War, he went to work at the Morse Cutting Tools in New Bedford until his retirement in 1981.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Reeves was the brother of the late Barbara Laverdiere and Gordon Reeves.

Funeral Information

In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated and a graveside service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2009, at 10:00AM in River-Side Cemetery, Fairhaven.
