ATTLEBORO – Lillian M. (Tremblay) Benson, 81, of West Street, Attleboro, died Friday, March 2, 2007, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Attleboro on January 28, 1926, a daughter of the late Alcime and Marion (Audette) Tremblay, she was the devoted wife for fifty-six years of Horace P. Benson. A loving homemaker, and devoted mother and grandmother, Mrs. Benson lived in Attleboro and Palmetto, FL, for many years.

Beside her husband, Mrs. Benson is survived by six sons, Stephen R. Benson of Foxboro, Gregory L. Benson of Taunton, Peter L. Benson and Paul O. Benson, both of Attleboro, John R. Benson of North Attleboro, and Timothy M. Benson of Stamford, CT; one daughter, Cindy Benson of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Oscar Tremblay of Attleboro; and two sisters, Noel Colombo of South Yarmouth, MA and Claire Pratt of Freemont, CA. She leaves thirteen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Donald, Raymond, Norman, Jerry and Roland Tremblay and the mother-in-law of the late Dyanne Hamilton Benson.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at 10:00AM in Sacred Heart Church, 58 Church St., North Attleboro, MA. Private Burial take place in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, March 6, from 4:00-8:00PM in the FOLEY-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 126 South Main St. (Route 152), Attleboro.
