Yvonne M. (Couture) Ferreira

FALL RIVER – Yvonne M. (Couture) Ferreira, 49, of Fall River, passed away Monday, February 9, 2009, surrounded by her family at her residence.. Born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Jeanne (Fernandes) Couture of South Dartmouth, MA, and the late Roger N. Couture, she was the wife of the late Charlie Ferreira and life partner of Michael Mangiarelli of Fall River.

A graduate of Westport High School, Mrs. Ferreira worked for Verizon for nineteen years, starting as an operator and then as an account representative. She loved her family and enjoyed life. Yvonne loved animals and being around her three dogs Cooper, Dreyfus and Bruschi.

Beside her mother and life partner, Mrs. Ferreira leaves her daughter, Erin Lee Ferreira of Fall River; two sisters, Michelle Drum of Lubbock, TX, and Suzanne Oliveira of Westport, MA; two brothers, Normand R. Couture of Plant City, FL, and John R. Couture of Tiverton, RI; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 8:45AM from the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Saint George’s Church, 12 Highland Ave., Westport. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling Hours with Video Photo Album will be held Friday, February 13, from 4:00-8:00PM in the funeral home.
