View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Armand Raquier age 77 of One Mendon Road, Cumberland died Tuesday January 2, 2007 in the Memorial Hospital of RI in Pawtucket.
He was born in Sorel, Provence of Quebec, Canada on June 15, 1929 a son of the late Ovila and Antoinette (Laliberte) Raquier. He had lived in Cumberland since 1959 having previously lived in Canada.
He was a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Church in Cumberland and had served with the US Army during WWII. Armand was an Orderly with the former Woonsocket Hospital now the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket for 27 years before retiring in 1988.
He leaves one nephew Richard A. Bell of Cumberland and two nieces Nancy Swallow of Rehoboth, MA and Joyce Audette of Pawtucket. Four great nieces and four great nephews, and five great great nieces. He was the brother of the late Theresa Bell and the long time friend of the late Homer Carroll.
Funeral Information
His Funeral will be held on Saturday January 6, 2007 at 9:00 AM from THE MENARD FUNERAL HOME, 71 Central Street, Manville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Mendon Road, Ashton, RI Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may visit from 9 to 10 AM before Mass.
