Eleanor M. (Champney) Chase

Eleanor M. (Champney) Chase, 89, of Taunton, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Morton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Donald P. Chase.
Eleanor was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Napoleon and Helen (Gardner) Champney. She devoted her life to raising her family and also worked at Wheaton College in the housekeeping department for over ten years. Mrs. Chase was a former active member at the Union Congregational Church, in Taunton, and a current member at the First Congregational Church (Stone Church), in Raynham. Eleanor enjoyed cooking and cleaning and the time she spent with her family and friends, especially her cats Gidget and Molly.
Survivors are three daughters: Donna M. Chase and her Fiancé Alan Chickering of East Taunton; Barbara J. Flanagan and her husband Mark of Taunton and Jennifer S. Chase of Taunton; two step grandchildren: Mark Flanagan of Taunton; and Anne Marie Aguiar Gaithersburg, MD; two step great grandchildren: Gabrielle and Mia; along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Maydell Corcoran, Arthur and Kenneth Champney.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017, at 10am, in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton, burial to follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017, from 4-7pm, in the funeral home.
