Hayston, Jr., 37, died in the emergency room at St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford, Sunday night, February 15, 2009, after being stricken ill at his home in New Bedford. Born in Taunton, the son of the late Donald B. and Mary (Carney) Hayston, he was fiancé of Jessica Manning of New Bedford and the former husband of Doreen Hayston of Fall River.
Mr. Hayston was educated in the Taunton Public Schools, a graduate of Taunton High School, and had been a resident of New Bedford for several years. He was employed as a painter at a local ship yard. Don was an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed working out.
He was the father of Autumn Marie Hayston of Florida and Sophie Taylor Hayston of New Bedford. He was the brother of Mary Roy of Taunton, Margaret Doyle of Raynham, Robert Hayston of Taunton, James Hayston of Taunton and the late Donna Hutchins, Brian Hayston and Richard Hayston. He was also the uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday, February 24, 2009, from 5:00-8:00PM in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton. A prayer service will be held at the conclusion of the visiting hours. Interment will be in St Joseph’s Cemetery.
