SOMERSET, MA – Ann T. (Wiley) Fish, 84, of Somerset, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at the Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River. Born in Fall River, MA, the daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Simpson) Wiley, she was the wife of Walter F. Fish, with whom she shared a sixty-five year marriage.

Mrs. Fish attended the former Sacred Hearts Academy and then graduated from Manchester High School in New Hampshire with the Class of 1943. After graduation she attended the University of New Hampshire. She then moved to California, married her beloved husband Walter, and worked on a Naval base as a clerk before returning to New England to raise a family. Mrs. Fish worked in the garment industry as a supervisor for fifteen years before retiring many years ago.

Ann traveled the world, enjoyed salt water fishing and reading. She was a volunteer at the Somerset Library as a tutor and was a member of the Somerset Women’s Club. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Fish is survived by her daughter, Linda F. Biastoff and her husband Morgan of Somerset; a son, Robert P. Fish of Tampa, FL; four devoted grandchildren, Charity, Trevor, Rachel and Miranda; five great-grandchildren, Liam, Mollie, Jacob, Bond Walter, and Rowan; a son-in-law, Virgil Medeiros of Fall River, MA; a niece, Phyllis Henault of Somerset; a nephew, Paul Buffington of New Hampshire. She was the mother of the late Geraldine M. Medeiros.

Funeral Information

Memorial Visitation for Mrs. Fish will be Thursday, October 29, 2009, from 6:00-8:00PM in THE HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset.
