FALL RIVER, MA – Linda A. (Souza) Camara, 63, of Fall River, died Sunday, November 8, 2009, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Pacheco) Souza, she was the wife of the late Robert P. Camara.

Mrs. Camara devoted her life to raising her family. She was very involved with the ladies auxiliary at the VFW Post and the American Legion, both in Fall River.

Mrs. Camara leaves three daughters, Dawn M. Camara-Clark of Missoula, MT, Geraldine Camara and Lori A. Souza, both of Fall River; two sisters, Geraldine Lally and Donna Souza both of Fall River; four brothers, Michael A. Souza of Clinton, TN, and George Souza, David Souza, and Peter Souza, all of Fall River; four loving grandchildren, Nicole, Mark, Jr., Tyler, and Amber-Lee; and a great-grandson, Xander.

Funeral Information

Her funeral service will be held Friday, November 13, 2009, at 9:00AM from the HEBERT-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 945 S. Main St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Saint Anne Church, South Main St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours with Video Photo Album will be Thursday, November 12, from 4:00-7:00PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the family’s request.
