Arthur T. Fenelon Jr.

FALL RIVER – Arthur T. Fenelon Jr., 81, of Fall River, Massachusetts, formerly of Westerly, Rhode Island, and Florida, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2007, at the Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center in Fall River. Born in Yonkers, New York, the son of the late Arthur T. Fenelon, Sr., and Catharine (MacLaughin) Fenelon, he was the former husband of Joyce Buckler.

Mr. Fenelon was a graduate of Westerly High School, after which he served his country during WWII with the United States Navy. Following his service, he continued his education at the University of Alabama. He worked for the former Bell Telephone Company for over fifteen years as a lineman, after which he started his own business, two ski shops located in Westerly, RI, and Mystic, CT. He also worked as a function manager at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Boston, as a member of the grounds crew at Fenway Park, and as a car salesman for the Ernie Boch dealership in Massachusetts. In 1989, he retired to Florida where he worked part-time for a security agency.

Arthur enjoyed skiing, sailing, and the being near the ocean.

He is survived by two daughters, Pamela F. Moran of Fall River and Christine A. Fenelon of Florida; two sisters, Andreẽ Charos of Pawcatuck, Connecticut, and Yvonne F. Shaw of Florida; two grandchildren, Patrick D. Fenelon of Utah and Tiffany A. Clements of Fall River; as well as by several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Suzanne M. Fenelon and the brother of the late Audrey F. Seamans and Adair Rasmussen.
