SPARTANBURG, SC – William D. “Bill” Wilber, 58, died at his home in Spartanburg, SC, on Wednesday, October 10, 2007. A resident of Spartanburg for the past three years, formerly of Taunton, he was born in Taunton, the son of the late Ralph and Mary (Campbell) Wilber.

Mr. Wilber was employed as a steel fabricator with Grant Steel of Holbrook and Turner Steel of West Bridgewater for thirty-six years. He was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church in Pacolet, SC, and a member of the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam era.

He is survived by his wife, Claudia “ Candie” Harris-Wilber, of SC; a son, Ralph Wilber and his wife Linda of Spartanburg; a step-daughter, Desiree Bothelo and her husband Michael of East Bridgewater; a step-son, Gregory McKosh and his wife Sandi of Chesnee, SC; four sisters, Judy Menard and Patricia Wilber, both of Taunton, Sandy Harding of Plymouth, and Cyndy King of Dighton; a brother, Russell “Rusty” Wilber of Bridgewater; three granddaughters, Jade Wilber and Laureen Greene of Spartanburg and MacKenzie Rose McKosh of Chesnee; and a grandson, Thomas Green of Spartanburg, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Visiting hours for his cremains will be held in the CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, on Sunday, October 28, 2007, from 5:00-8:00PM. Interment will be on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 10:00AM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
