View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Ethel E. (Jones) Rego, 86, of Dartmouth, formerly of New Bedford died Wednesday, December 6, 2006 in St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Herbert F. Jones, Sr. and the late Jane (Evans) Jones, she lived most of her life in the city.
Ms. Rego was a Registered Nurse working at St. Luke's Hospital and later various area nursing homes for many years. She was a graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing.
She is survived by a niece, Marilyn J. Cross and her husband Al of Southington, CT; two great nephews, Dale S. Cross and his wife Diliana of Glastonbury, CT and Scott D. Cross of Manchester, CT; and a great great nephew, Devin Dale Cross. Ms. Rego was the sister of the late Herbert F. Jones, Jr. and Esther S. Aiken.
Funeral Information
Her funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 AM in the Donaghy Funeral Home, 465 County Street, New Bedford followed by interment in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford. The family will receive callers from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
