Madeline F. (Gendron) Paradis

ATTLEBORO – Madeline F. (Gendron) Paradis, 93, of Hope Gardens, Park Street, Attleboro, died on Friday, November 16, 2007, at the Golden Living Center.

Born in Attleboro, a daughter of the late John & Elodie (Viellet) Gendron, Ms. Paradis was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over forty-five years, serving in such facilities as the Lahey Clinic, the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, and retiring from the Pondville Hospital. She trained at Brigham Hospital in Boston. A lifelong Attleboro resident and parishioner of St. Joseph Church, she attended the St. Joseph Parochial High School, the Pawtucket Business School, and Our Lady of Angels Academy in Montreal.

Ms. Paradis was a member of the Alcazaba Circle #65, Daughters of Isabella, where she served as a Regent several times, and past president of the Past Regents Association. She was also a member of the Attleboro Round Table, a past member of the Arch Confraternity of Christian Women, a member of Amber Club #58, a member of AARP #952, a member of PEAL Club, Inc., and a member of South Attleboro Senior Citizens Center. She also volunteered at the St. Joseph Pantry Kitchen and Self Help.

Ms. Paradis is survived by two brothers, Roland L. Gendron, Sr., of Louisville, KY, and Gerard J Gendron of Alexandria, VA; as well as by four nieces and six nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert “Red” Gendron and Normand Gendron.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at 9:00AM from THE FOLEY-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 126 South Main Street, Attleboro, Massachusetts, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Joseph Church, South Main St., with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Monday from 6:00–8:00PM.
