View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TAUNTON – Doris E. (Fish) Weldon, 73, a Taunton resident since 1968, died in Taunton on Sunday, July 15, 2007, following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Edwin and Bessie (Greenhalgh) Fish, she was the widow of Sanford J. H. Weldon.
Mrs. Weldon was a gradate of BMC Durfee High School and of the Union Hospital School of Nursing, both in Fall River. For the past twenty-four years Mrs. Weldon helped her son operate Relco Abrasives, the family business, which manufactures grinding wheels. She enjoyed traveling and action movies.
She is survived by her son, Richard Weldon of Taunton and his wife Joanne, and her daughter, Nancy Trey of Germany and her husband Jurgen. She was the sister of Nancy Manville of Fall River and her husband William, and the grandmother of Erik, Valarie, Lynn, Thomas, Susanne and Julie.
Funeral Information
A funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held in the CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, on Thursday, September 13, 2007, at 10:00AM. Interment will follow the funeral in the Dighton Unitarian Church Cemetery, Dighton. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00PM.
