Rudolph Robinson, of Fall River, MA, age 67, passed away June 13, 2017, after a short battle with leukemia. Growing up in Natick, MA, his passions from a young age were music and cars. Dubbed “The Quiet Man” by one of his sisters, he was kind, thoughtful, brilliant (a certified MENSA genius) and a voracious reader. He built model cars and airplanes, and, having taught himself the guitar, even started a rock band at the age of 16 with his good friend Ronald Zwicker.

At various times in his career, he worked at Lafayette Radio, traveled as the national sales manager for a stereo speaker company, served as “nanny” (quite the cook) for a family of four children, and became an expert on vintage bass guitars. He then went into the computer field, working in IT for The Car Emporium dealership in Warwick, RI. Given his night-owl tendencies, he also found time to run a web-design business, designing and programming websites for companies local and across the country.

Rudy’s musical interests covered a wide range, from classic rock to country to blues to baroque. When he retired in 2012, he came full circle and started another band he called the Millrights, with Chris Knight and several other Fall River musicians.

The Quiet Man never complained, even when his cancer hit suddenly in early 2017. He enjoyed spending time with his nearby relatives, and is known for helping others in many ways, while never drawing attention to himself. It was clear he lived by the Golden Rule.

Rudy was the son of Rudolph and Janice (Schroeder) Robinson. He is survived by a sister, Pamela Waterman and her husband John, of Mesa, AZ, a brother-in-law, Patrick Druken of Newport, RI, eight nieces, three aunts, and a dear friend Cynthia. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Valerie Druken.
