View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FALL RIVER–Aldea (Vaillancourt) Bedard, 102, of Fall River, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008, at the Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late George and Alpheda (Samson) Vaillancourt, she was the wife of the late Rene Bedard.
Mrs. Bedard worked as a machine operator in the garment industry in Fall River, retiring in 1933. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves a sister, Annette Reidy of East Hartford, CT; a brother, Emile Vaillancourt of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alice and Lena Lajoie, Herve, George, Romeo, Edmond, Albert, Armand, and Roger Vaillancourt.
Funeral Information
Her funeral will be held Thursday, July 24, 2008, at 8:30AM from the HEBERT-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 945 S. Main St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM in the Margaret Mary Chapel at the Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 23, from 4:00-7:00PM in the funeral home.
