BERKLEY – Peter W. Hebblethwaite, 48, died at his home Wednesday, October 22, 2008, after a seven-month battle with cancer. Born in Attleboro and raised in the Laconia, NH area, he was the husband of Stacey (Arrington) Hebblethwaite, to whom he was married for twenty-five years.

Mr. Hebblethwaite served his country proudly for four years in the U. S. Army. A resident of Berkley for the past ten years, having lived in Raynham for thirteen years prior to that, he worked for many years as a truck driver for IBA Dairy Supply. He was a very hard worker and took great pride in all that he did. In his spare time, one would find him driving his Kabota tractor, telling funny stories, spending time with his family, and caring for his horses, donkey, and dogs. He loved fishing, making fancy breakfasts for his family, especially French Toast, taking drives with his wife and making people laugh. Peter’s laugh was contagious and he was known for his funny sense of humor, his generosity and servant heart, and for the yummy weekend breakfasts he prepared. He plowed his neighbor’s driveway in snow storms and was remembered for having jumped into unknown waters to assist a stranger after an accident. He deeply loved and appreciated his wonderful extended Christian family. Peter was a great man who passionately loved. He will be truly missed.

He is survived by many that loved him, including Stacey, his wife of twenty-five years, his daughters, Nicole (Carter) Dossey of Round Rock, TX, and Ashley Seiger-Hebblethwaite of Berkley, and his son Joshua Hebblethwaite of Berkley. He was the loving son of Judith (McNamara) Hebblethwaite of Belmont, NH, and the brother of “Bro” Jeffery Hebblethwaite of Norwood, MA, and also the brother of his sister Deborah. He was the fun-loving and caring GG (Grumpy Grampy) of Olivia and Autumn, who adored him. He was the grandson of Thomas McNamara, and the uncle, nephew and cousin of many.
