Ellen L. (Bowers) Peirce

TAUNTON/BERKLEY – Ellen L (Bowers) Peirce, 88, died Sunday, January 27, 2008, in the Taunton Nursing Home. Born in Pawtucket, RI, daughter of the late Edward and Frances (Hindle) Bowers, she was the widow of the late Arthur Peirce.

A former thirty-five year resident of Berkley, she attend the Berkley Congregational Church, and enjoyed music and was an avid reader. She was a devoted wife and mother.

She was the mother of Ellen McCarthy and her husband Thomas of Taunton, Sharon Walsh of Norwood, Albert Padelford and his wife Carol of Maine, and the late Carol Albohn and William Padelford. She was the sister of the late James Bowers and the grandmother of eleven, the great-grandmother of twelve, and the great-great-grandmother of twelve.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave., (Route 138 South), Taunton, Thursday, January 31, 2008, at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
