SOMERSET, MA – Margaret A. (Corbett) Williamson of Somerset passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Flannery) Corbett, she was the beloved wife of the late Lenwood J. Williamson.

Mrs. Williamson received her elementary and high school education in Catholic Schools in Fall River. Her college education was received at what is now known as Rhode Island College. After graduation, she worked in the Tiverton Public School system for many years as a teacher and guidance counselor.

She was a parishioner of Saint Thomas More Parish for over fifty years and was a member of many Catholic and professional associations. In 1995 she was deeply honored to receive the Marian Medal.

She is survived by her godchildren, Mary R. George of North Dighton, MA, and Patricia A. Zuber of North Dartmouth, MA; a niece, Dr. Catherine A. Imbriglio of Providence, RI; a nephew, Thomas F. Imbriglio of Tewksbury, MA; and a brother-in-law, Adam Imbriglio of Tiverton, RI. She was the sister of the late Genevieve P. Imbriglio, and Kathleen, John and Honora Corbett.

Funeral Information

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, March 13, at 9:00am from the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Saint Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset, with burial to follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery in Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held Friday, March 12, from 5:00-8:00PM in the funeral home.
