View Tribute and Sign Guestbook EAST TAUNTON – Audrey S. (Meredith) Washburn, 76, died Thursday evening, September 3, 2009, in Morton Hospital in Taunton, following a period of failing health. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, daughter of the late Frank and Violet (Vaughn) Meredith, she was the wife of the late Lester Washburn.
She was employed as an attendant at Wrenthan State School and also in the housekeeping department of Morton Hospital. An active member of the Christ Community Church in East Taunton, she enjoyed Bible studies. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Audrey was the mother of the late Paul Washburn. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Ann Washburn of Attleboro, very dear friends, Sheila and Fred Berry and their family of Raynham, and her friends at the Massasoit Community Housing and the Christ Community Church, both in East Taunton, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
A funeral service will be held in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, Monday, September 7, at 5:00PM. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 3:00-5:00PM, prior to the service. Interment will be held at a later date in Cedar Knoll Cemetery, East Taunton.
