Doris (Brown) Wager, 88, of Fairhaven died Monday, October 16, 2006 in Nichol's House Nursing Home, Fairhaven. She was the wife of 55 years of Carl E. Wager. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Manuel B. and the late Mary (Sylvia) Silveira, after military travel with her husband she settled in Fairhaven 37 years ago.

She was a presser for Economy Blouse for 30 years. She had been a Jehovah's Witness since 1973 and loved Jehovah God. She also enjoyed horses and especially her Shelti dogs.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Ernest Sylvia and his wife Lorraine of California; a brother, Ernest Silveira of Fairhaven; four grandchildren, Kathy, Susan, Carl and Mike and the late Jamie Lee; nine great grandchildren.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be Friday at 11:00 AM in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven followed by interment in Naskatucket Cemetery, Fairhaven. Calling hours are Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
