NEW BEDFORD – Nelda N. (Paquin) Goggin, of New Bedford, died Friday, March 2, 2007, in St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford. She was the widow of James W. Goggin and the daughter of the late Dr. J. Ubalde Paquin and Nelda (Marceau) Paquin.

A lifelong resident of New Bedford and a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Mrs. Goggin was a graduate of the New Bedford High School and the Swain School of Design. She was an active volunteer worker with W.B.S.M., Call for Action, the Red Cross, the Y.W.C.A., the Catholic Guild for the Blind, and most recently, St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary.

Mrs. Goggin is survived by two loving daughters, Mrs. Shauneen S. Crane and her husband Leonard S. of South Dartmouth, and Mrs. Patricia N. Marsh and her husband Richard J. of Wilbraham; five grandchildren, Gregory Crane of Boston, Peter Crane of Dartmouth, Kevin Marsh of California, Shauneen Couto of Wilbraham and Patrick Marsh of Springfield; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Goggin was the sister of the late Attorney Zephyr Paquin, John C. Paquin, Helen Cantacella, Jeanne P. Dubiel and Beatrice Teilleire.

Funeral Information
