NEW BEDFORD – Agnes F. (Nicolau) Nelson, 78, of New Bedford, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Newton, MA, and lived most of her life in New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Arthur Nelson.

Mrs. Nelson leaves two daughters, Ann Marie Nunes of Orlando, FL, and Christine L. Sousa of New Bedford; three sons, Mark and Arthur J. Nelson, both of New Bedford, and Kenneth Nelson of Pompano Beach, FL; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, August 17, 2008, from 2:00-4:00PM in THE DONAGHY FUNERAL HOME, 465 County Street, New Bedford. A graveside service will be held Monday, August 18, 2008, at 10:00AM in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford.
