Katherine F. Handren

Katherine F. (Gervais) Handren, 92 years, of Taunton, died at EPOCH Healthcare in Norton on June 9, 2006. Born in Abington, daughter of the late Arthur and Jennie (Donovan) Gervais. She was educated in Abington Schools and is a retired Claims Manager for Aetna Insurance Company having worked in Boston and Brockton offices. She enjoyed knitting, traveling, cooking and wintering in Florida.

She was the wife of the late Paul Hope and the late Ralph Handren. She is survived by a step son Ralph Handren,Jr of IL and also the step mother of the late Lois Stanley and Richard and Robert Handren. She has thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is the sister of Virginia Sigrist, Rosalie Glen, Genevieve Sabin, Evelyn Gambro and the late Arthur Gervais, Margaret Large, Greta Gervais and Eleanor Fortini.

Funeral Information

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held from the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave, (Route 138 South) Taunton on Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Joseph's Church, Taunton at 10 AM. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 5-8PM.
